Trapped Pictsy - by Deyna

Welted glass tears layering her cheek,
she silent made.

Permeating wing sweat,
spraying wide,
she flapping so hard.

Skin oozing poison,
she transforming to hate.

  1. I love it when this happens - I did not really get Deyna's voice very well until I started writing. Sometimes it's such a surprise! Accents can be very subtle. English is her first language, but she has a very colloquial way of speech.

  2. I want to know who Deyna is now, especially since the poem is titled "Trapped Pictsy". Is she a literal pixie or just an angry girl? Either way, in three stanzas, you've hooked me.
